Top Five Active MLB Shortstops

2. Francisco Lindor finally escaped Cleveland, leaving Jose Ramirez to fend for himself against the cheapest MLB owner. Lindor has long been one of the league’s most electric players and we hope to see that energy amplified when he plays for a team that actually cares for him.

3. Trevor Story is objectively the best offensive shortstop in baseball. A solid all around guy, he just needs to get out of Colorado.

1. For the fourth straight year, Xander Bogaerts is the hottest shortstop in the MLB. Not only does he speak four languages fluently, his offensive numbers continue to surge on an otherwise lackluster Boston team. What a stud.

5. Fresh off of signing the third largest contract in MLB history, Fernando Tatis Jr. is a Padre for the next 14 years. Since he has the largest paychecks, he must rank in the top five.

4. Tim Anderson continues to improve his game. Despite serious defensive woes, he locked down a permanent spot in the White Sox lineup with an unsustainable BABIP. He could be the most exciting player to watch in baseball.
