The Wheaton College Men’s Basketball team suffered a brutal stretch from December into late January, over which they won just one of ten games and deflated a promising 5-0 start back in November. Despite an overall losing record, the Lyons have the talent to become a contender in the New England Men’s and Women’s Athletic […]

Patriots prepared for a critical offseason
There was no trip to The Big Easy. There were no celebratory Mardi Gras beads around the neck of Tom Brady. There was no third-quarter blackout delay for the New England Patriots. Instead, Brady, coach Bill Belichick, and the rest of the Patriots organization watched Super Bowl XLVII from their couches, as they agonizingly observed […]
New Peacock Pond resident inspires curiosity
If you’ve taken an Admissions tour of the Wheaton campus, the tour guide likely informed you that Wheaton’s official mascot is the Lyon (like a normal lion, but spelled a little differently). So it’s natural to think that parents and prospective students believe that the “Lyon” is the animal with which we (the student body) […]
The night before I was due to return to Wheaton from winter break, I was involved in a head on collision with another driver, who had crossed over to the opposite side of the road. Google services […]

Wheaton managed to hold on to a 34-32 win even as WPI went 13-4 during the last half. The win was highlighted by a halftime celebration of Wheaton’s female senior athletes, which included appearances by President Ronald […]
Baltimore, Beyoncé rock Super Bowl XLVII
Ray Lewis is partying all the way to retirement. The Ravens linebacker fought hard with his teammates in New Orleans Sunday evening as the Baltimore Ravens topped the San Francisco 49ers 34-31 in Super Bowl XLVII. The game featured two young quarterbacks looking to jumpstart their careers, as well as a rivalry between brother coaches […]
On occasion, the physical manifestation of friendship is wrapped around the wrists of Wheaton students. This is especially true of Wheaton seniors Alexia Rempoutzakou ’13, Vanessa Fuchs ’13 and Alaina Raftis ’13, who have proposed a sophisticated take on the friendship bracelet. Their taste for entrepreneurship began during their sophomore year, when the three friends […]
