I know that Spring Weekend is happening soon and that SGA is reworking the budget (I do read the paper, after all). Exciting stuff. In all reality, I should probably give my thoughts on one of those things, but I’m not going to talk about either of them. I’m going to be light-hearted this week. So, here it goes.

I really hope the winter weather is finally gone. I love the way the first snow looks, and being from the Great North/New Hampshire, I have a special place in my heart for the season. But eventually, it wears a little thin. White, powdery, pretty snow turns into disgusting, brownish slush, and the terms “brisk” and “refreshing” are typically replaced with “bitter cold” and “paradoxically hellish” (at least by me) by the holiday season, let alone March. And, of course, snowstorms in March are cruel and unusual punishment for all of us, especially without accompanying snowdays.
But hey, it’s over. Spring is here. The sun will be out more. Live music will begin to move outside. The Dimple will be completely free for sort-of-cold sunbathing, Frisbee, rolling around, fireworks, eerie war reenactments, campus-wide Harlem Shake video shoots (please?), etc. We’re also one season closer to summer. Times are good, my friends.
So, where’s the critical analysis this week, you ask? Where’s the snark? Eh, maybe I left it in the winter. Maybe I needed the sun to see the brighter side of things.
But I doubt it.
