Therefore, Chance the Rapper will not be performing at Spring Weekend.
Chance the Rapper (real name Chancelor Bennett) has recovered from his hospitalization on Sunday and will continue his scheduled performances on Wednesday, according to a tweet posted on his Twitter at 10:24 a.m yesterday April 21.
The tweet, which appeared to be written by Bennett himself, said that he would “be back 100 percent for Wednesday’s show” and thanked supporters for praying for him.
A photo of the rapper in the hospital with the caption “pray for my boy Chance” appeared on his instagram and was later removed. In the photograph, a Coachella bracelet is visible on Bennett’s left arm.
On April 18 at 8:15 p.m., Bennett tweeted that he had gotten sick and been given the next two days off. In another tweet several minutes later, he assured fans that he would make a recovery in time for his Coachella performance.
On April 20 at 1:13 p.m. and 1:14 p.m., Bennett’s management posted on his Twitter that the performance would be cancelled and that he had been admitted to the hospital, respectively.
