The Center for Global Education is hosting and accepting submissions for their Annual Eye on the World Photo Contest and Exhibit. This contest provides both students and faculty an opportunity to have their photography displayed in an exhibit taking place on April 3, 4 and 5 in the Balfour-Hood Atrium.
The guidelines for photo submissions must fall into the following thematic categories: global awareness and issues, selfie, building community together, challenging identity and the idea of a global classroom.
Photos can be taken in the United States or abroad. Entry slips are available in person at the Center for Global Ed. or on the Center for Global Ed. website. Submissions will be accepted until Friday, March 24..
Babe Lincoln Editor-in-Chief Pia Parisi-Marcoux ’19 was excited about the contest and encouraged students to apply. “We at Babe Lincoln were immensely impressed with the artistry of the photos [from last year’s exhibit]. We reached out to the photographers in the hopes they would formally submit their work to Babe Lincoln’s print publication, which will be published in the Spring. This exactly the kind of material dedicated to intercultural literacy that we strive to display and is a testament to how passionate and talented Wheaton students are.”
