Have a ‘gourd’ time this October!

By Sadie Drouin on October 23, 2019

After October break, getting back into the swing of things may seem daunting with the many hours of studying ahead of you. However, in the spirit of autumn, there are several fall events that will allow for an a-maze-ing time. Just check out what’s brewin’!

Programming Activities Council (PAC) has hosted many events that are the pick of the patch. On Saturday, Oct. 19, in the Haas Athletic Center, a game of laser tag took place. Students teamed up and rocked harder than pop rocks!

The next day, Oct. 20, there was a fang-tastic $5 Salem, MA trip, during which students explored the town, known for its Halloween festivities.

This upcoming weekend carves out Fall Fest, which is not just a product of witchful thinking. Fall Fest is all about community building, family fun and homecoming. For a preview of what it may entail, you can look forward to various team building activities, fall crafts, games, food trucks, sports games and many more fun activities.

To finish off the weekend, PAC is hosting a Halloween dance on Saturday, Oct. 26 from 9 p.m. to 12 a.m. in the Haas Athletic Center. Come hang out with your friends and dress up in the most unbe-leaf-able costumes.

Halloween falls on the following Thursday and if you have no plans to fall back on, the Weber Theatre opens up the show “Stupid F**king Bird” at 8 p.m. to 10 p.m.. This will be a show that will be sure to spice things up! There are only five performances, so make sure to be an early bird and get your tickets.

With only two weeks left in October, make the most of the most spooktacular time of year and don’t leaf yourself to sit in your dorm, it’s time to trick or treat yo’ self.
