FURU: An Introduction

By Candy Green on September 29, 2016

screen-shot-2016-09-29-at-3-59-22-pmDo you love food? Do you love saving money? Do you want ways to find the biggest bang for your buck? If you answered no to any of these questions, then you are not human. If you answered yes, welcome to the answers you’ve been craving. Answers to those burning questions that stay in the back of your mind like: Where can I get something that doesn’t taste or look like dining hall food? Never fear, your food guru (or furu, as I like to call it) is here!

As a natural food critic, with an eye out for flavor without busting my wallet, I’ve always been the one to look for the best deals around. I’ve been obsessed with food all my life. I can never get enough of it and I’m always looking for a place to blow my mind. Anyone who goes out with me has to deal with the food comments which they either love or hate for complementing or ruining the meal. I can’t help it, when a chicken wing tastes like fish or a creme brûlée is cooked perfectly, I have got to talk about it. I don’t want you all thinking I’m a total food snob, because sometimes I want crappy diner food just to eat crappy diner food. That being said, I will always make sure it’s a crappy diner that’s worth the money.

Once a month I will come out with a new review about restaurants that are located around the Norton area. I’ll let you know if it’s worth it to spend those few quarters in your pocket and where. I’ve created this new food critique article to save you money and time. I’m sifting through the dumps and hidden gems so you can experience only the best of the best, for the best price. As a college student saving money is important, but so is filling your tummy with occasional goodness. So, stay tuned for my monthly articles to get the inside scoop on what’s hot and what’s disappointingly mild.
